  • Construction Update:

As you may have noticed, Cincinnati-Dayton Road is getting a face lift! Consequently, we frequently have a very large yellow lawn ornament at Grace Tree (also known as a backhoe), and some handsome ornamentation along the street (traffic cones). Despite the disruption, we anticipate that the result will be fabulous! Here's an overview of the Cincinnati-Dayton Road Project:

• Widening of Cincinnati Dayton Rd to four lanes - providing a center turn lane and an additional northbound lane

• Realignment of Station Rd

• Widening of bridge on Cincinnati Dayton Rd; Replacement of bridge on Station Rd

• New sidewalk and decorative lighting along corridor

• New closed storm system

• New mid-block crosswalks

• Includes rectangular rapid flashing beacons

We are very grateful for your dedication to your practice in spite of the challenges of traffic and noise from the construction. To thank you for your perseverance, we are offering Construction Pass Specials during the month of September:

  • 10-class pass (normally $120) is discounted to $110, and

  • 20-class pass (normally $220) is discounted to $189.

  • Upcoming Events:

  • Practical Meditation for Beginners: 10 Days to a Happier, Calmer You with Ben Decker

Grace Tree is happy to host internationally recognized meditation teacher Benjamin W. Decker, for two very special workshops, where will learn and exercise this ancient practice of expanding awareness - not with a raisin, but through a variety of different activities, based on the content of Decker's bestselling book, Practical Meditation For Beginners. Mindfulness is a transcendent state of being totally present in the moment - a state that happens naturally in fleeting moments of bliss. It is said that the Buddha taught his students to deepen their experience of life through the practice of mindfulness. Throughout the ages, mindfulness teachers have used many practices to initiate students into this peaceful wisdom, creating benefits in their lives, and modern science backs it up! These ancient practices boast big benefits, such as reduced stress, improved sleep, emotional self-regulation, increased creativity, improved problem-solving skills, improved communication, pain management, accelerated physical healing, overall wellness, and more. One of the most famous practices in learning mindfulness is the mindful exploration of a raisin; unhurriedly observing the texture, color, and uniqueness of an individual raisin, smelling and eventually, tasting it.
