Grandmother Sycamore

For me, the holiday season is a time of reflection and self-examination. As we approach the end of 2017, it comes to my mind that we at Grace Tree Yoga & Growth Studio have so much to be thankful for. More than anything, we are grateful for the many loyal clients who continue to grace our studio, as well as the bounty of new clients who found us this year. We bow to you in deep gratitude.

Our shala, or sanctuary, continues to offer the community some of the finest instructors, workshop presenters, and wellness providers this side of Cincinnati. We are so grateful and proud of the quality of those who have been guided to impart their gifts at Grace Tree. Betsy and I are always thankful and amazed that we haven’t solicited instructors, presenters or wellness providers. Those who align with Grace Tree’s mission to provide an uplifting environment for those on a journey of self-discovery with the intention of nurturing the body, balancing the mind, and liberating the soul just seem to find their way here. It is extraordinary how that happens.

We are frequently told by our patrons and others that Grace Tree vibrates at another level, that the energy of the place is calming, peaceful, reverent, and joyful! Even some of West Chester’s firemen who came through on an inspection told us they felt “positive energy” while walking through. Is it the place or those who occupy it? Maybe a little of both.

The founders of Grace Tree Yoga & Growth Studio, Renee Groenemann and Pam Painter, were visionary in the naming of the studio. Grace Tree is, indeed, full of grace! The word grace is both thrilling and intriguing to me. It is derived from the Greek and came to signify “favor,” “goodwill,” or “lovingkindness” usually granted by a superior to an inferior. In the spiritual sense, grace is the free and unmerited favor of the Divine.

In the 5.5 years that Betsy and I have been Grace Tree’s stewards, we regularly marvel at the sangha, or rich community, that she draws to her doors. She is filled with compassion, kindness, joy, non-judgment and kinship. She draws the best out of all of us. And for that, we are heartily grateful!

We at Grace Tree Yoga & Growth Studio wish you and yours the blessings of love and community this Thanksgiving Day. With deep gratitude in our hearts!

Namaste,

Janet and Betsy
