Class Schedule

Our Class Schedule will have some changes starting in April. We hope these changes will only strengthen our class variety at convenient times.

  • Tanuja's Wednesday noon Hatha Class will become a lunch hour chair class focusing on breathing and asanas (postures) while seated in, or using the support of, a chair. Tanuja envisions this class for people of all abilities. Chair yoga is so beneficial for those who are seated all day at work and would like to learn how to include stretching and movement in their day - even while sitting at a desk.

  • Suman will teach one class on Saturdays at 9am: Qigong. The last Pranayams for Wellness class will be on April 9th.

  • We are adding a new Mixed Level Yoga class on Saturday mornings at 8:30 am. The interesting twist is that this class will have a rotating roster of teachers, each of whom will teach the class for a month at a time. We believe it is always beneficial to explore various teachers and teaching styles. How adaptable are you? Find out!

Bring your questions or submit them prior to the class at pampainteryoga@gmail.com and they will be woven into the discussion. Session 2: Subtle Body of Yoga - All that we can not see about ourselves and yet have intimate awareness of through our experience of life has been mapped and recorded by seekers and seers all over the world. A knowing-thought here, a tingling sensation there, a wave of emotion – we are dimensional beings and our practice of yoga is a front row seat to both watching and purposefully shaping our reality. This workshop will be focused around the yogic view of the “subtle body” matrix, the energetic blueprint of our individuated human existence. The format will include both lecture and experiential learning for accessibility to the teachings.Appropriate for the curious, the modern mystics and the practical folks (all are valued). Handouts and suggested reading list will be provided at the gathering.

About the Teacher - Pam (spiritual name, Shankari) has been a student of yoga for almost two decades and instructing for nearly one. She has consistently studied with widely-known teachers, treasured local teachers, and her own inner teacher. Her teaching practice has included training yoga instructors, guiding open classes, private classes, teens and prenatal. She is a yoga educator and yoga educates every corner and vista of her life.Centered in Spirit and in service to the student, Pam’s teaching style is organic, encouraging and engaging with a heaping spoonful of humor. She invites your presence, “just as you are,” creating conditions for the amplification of joy, clarity, and healing; wholehearted participation in the process of learning and being alive.

International Day of Happiness with Zeynep Premdasi Yilmaz, RYT, Reiki Master

Date: Monday, March 27th

Time: 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm

Let’s celebrate International Day of Happiness at Grace Tree! United Nations proclaimed March 20th International Day of Happiness in 2012. GNH-USA (Gross National Happiness-USA) defines happiness as an intentional effort and adjustment to the way we live. Personal happiness contributes to better relationships, greater health, more optimism, self-efficacy, greater resiliency, creativity and the ability to reach our highest human potential. Since 1972 Bhutan, a small kingdom in Himalayans, has inspired a modern political happiness movement that evolved into a socioeconomic development model. We'll watch a TED talk on how Bhutan is delivering and tracking GNH, we'll discuss how we can implement principles of happiness into our lives and we'll end with a loving kindness meditation for World Peace. This event will be donation based. We'll donate the proceeds to a cause to promote happiness. Let’s meet on Monday Mar 27th between 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm at Grace Tree Yoga Studio. Please RSVP.

Personality Styles: 101 with John Rhoads, CLC

Date: Saturday, April 29th

Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Fee: $40

How do I appear in the world? What are the benefits and risks of the way I relate to others? What would it take to develop something new?

This being human creates a filter through which we encounter the world. We call it our PERSONALITY. It isn't an accident that it is there and sometimes it helps us to get through the day. Sometimes it is an obstacle to overcome.

This workshop will explore the fundamentals of personality styles and how we each relate to the world. Our intention will be to increase personal awareness, emotional intelligence, and develop intentional strategies for connecting with others.

Come join us and develop your ability to relate to others through introspection and self development.
