Oh, it's a long long while From May to December But the days grow short When you reach September...

It is that time of year again! Backpacks, books, buses. Raking leaves, closing the pool, and the shortening of the day. Beginning the process of hunkering down for winter. Am I the only one who loves Autumn? I love getting my sweaters out and freshening up my wool clothing. I love twilight on a crisp October evening. The Autumnal Equinox is on September 23rd this year. On the equinoxes (in September and March) a very special event happens. On these two days each year, the sun shines directly on the equator causing the length of the day and night to be very nearly equal--but not exactly. The Autumnal Equinox marks the first day of Fall. At Gracetree we celebrate the coming fall and Gracetree's anniversary each year with our 108 Sun Salutations and Anniversary Open House. This will be our 4th yea,r and we are celebrating!! To encourage you to try out our many fanatastic LifeShop offerings this Fall, we will discount by 10% any workshops that you register for at the 108 Sun Salutations and Anniversary Open House!

The 108 Event will be held on Saturday, September 13th from 1 to 4 PM. Come and do some Sun Salutations and/or sample some of our healing arts including a relaxation circle, foot bath and massage, mini workshops to learn about some of our OM-azing Fall offerings, including LifeShops and new class offerings. We'll have food, music, and henna painting! The 108 Event is a fun way to dip your toe in slowly or cannonball right into Gracetree's Fall offerings. Come and experience our beautiful shala and our community of friends! It's a great way to spend a Fall Saturday afternoon! The Grace and Light in me sees and honors the Grace and Light in you. Namaste.
